The unholy offspring of a human woman and a male vampire, the Dhampir inherits much of the vampiric curse while possessing the ability to blend seamlessly with humans. Though this may make them seem even more insidious than their monstrous sires, Dhampirs have been known to turn against their own kind. Their unique abilities allow them to see through many vampire tricks, including detecting invisible vampires and they are also proficient in magic. This has led many Dhampirs to become dedicated vampire hunters, making them invaluable allies in the fight against bloodsuckers worldwide.
Dhampirs are easily mistaken for humans but can be identified by the truly observant due to their dark, unkempt hair, larger than average eyes, and fangs. It is said that vampires cannot drink from them, as Dhampir blood burns them. Dhampirs can resist the urge to drink human blood and primarily consume standard human meals, further allowing them to hide their true nature. However, they can choose to drink blood if they desire, potentially embracing a darker path than that of a righteous vampire hunter.
