If you’re looking for the Hat Man, you don’t have to look very far. In fact, if you wait until that point where you’re drifting off to sleep, or worse yet, as you wake in the middle of the night, he’s likely standing in the corner of your bedroom, waiting to greet you.

This shadowy figure has been seen by countless eyewitnesses, but always as they’re floating between sleep and wakefulness. Described as incredibly tall and with no notable features on his face - no eyes, mouth or nose - he’s a looming presence that you won’t forget quickly. His most notable feature, though, is his signature hat. For some, it’s a fedora; for others, a broad-brimmed number; and we’ve even heard tales of the most dapper of all, the top hat.

Many believe that the Hat Man gazes at you until you fall asleep and then feasts upon your emotions. Fear is his snack of choice, so perhaps don’t watch that horror film or delve into the world of creepypastas right before bed—unless you’re hoping for a visit from the Hat Man.
