Bald Mountains (barren mountains) are common spots for witchcraft, and Lysa Hora in Ukraine is no different. This picturesque spot is used by witches and other Pagan worshippers for Witches’ Sabbaths and various forms of magic. It has been reported that witches arrive here in a flurry of crows with their familiars in tow.
The spot is easily located due to Pagan symbolism marking the way. Wooden sculptures of various Pagan deities have been erected leading up to the mountain, so you are unlikely to get lost. Recently, it has been said that Satanists also use the spot, but their practices are shrouded in mystery, and what occurs during their rituals remains unknown. It’s worth noting that it's also a lovely spot for a picnic.
