“Doghead” might sound like a rather cruel insult, but for the Psoglav, it was a badge of honor. These creatures from the Balkans are quite the chimera. With the body of a human, the head of a dog, the legs of a horse, and a single eye on their forehead, they are a terrifying sight to behold.
To add to this fierce image, they are known to wear armor and wield human weapons such as swords, axes and maces. While this might suggest they’d be a perfect fit for any army, the Psoglav actually prefer to dwell in dark caves and mines (especially those filled with gemstones).
Known for their cannibalistic tendencies, approaching one of these beasts is highly inadvisable. They are reportedly so ravenous that eating the flesh of the living isn’t enough. If they cannot find a living victim, they will dig up graves and eat whatever corpses they can find. This gruesome behavior has been confirmed by multiple sources, so exercise extreme caution if you ever consider recruiting them.
