From the front, Futakuchi-onna appears as a normal woman with a pleasant face and beautiful long hair. However, if she turns her back, you'll see her hidden secret, a second, monstrous mouth on the back of her head, concealed beneath her hair.

This mouth symbolizes greed, and if the human side refuses to feed it, the monster takes control, using the hair like arms to feed herself. In some stories, the mouth steals food directly from the woman’s plate, leaving her starved or with very little to eat.

Known as the "two-mouthed woman," Futakuchi-onna’s second mouth can cause her human side great suffering if not appeased. It is known to scream, mutter obscenities, and even cause pain if not fed when it demands. Often, Futakuchi-onna can hide her true nature until it’s too late. However, please note that searching through people's hair for a second mouth is highly inappropriate and should be avoided.
