A demonic ogre-like creature with a taste for cannibalism, the Oni is one of the most dangerous creatures we have reported on so far. Oni are huge beasts with usually red, pink or even gray-blue skin and have horns and tusks. Rage seems to be their default emotion and they are incredibly angry.

While some claim the Oni to be a beast that cannot be bested, some local communities in Japan have found that they can be deterred with loud noises and celebrations. Regular festivals seem to be an excellent way to keep the Oni away so get ready to party. A traditional practice as a festival in order to rid your village of an Oni would be to throw soy beans at it, so we hope you’ve got some in your pack.

Known for their hunger for human flesh, some stories have claimed that the Oni can eat a human whole, meaning that situations involving the creature can turn very bad, very quickly. With this in mind, keep your wits about you and be prepared to run if you have to.
