The hound of Hades, Cerberus, is the gatekeeper to the Greek Underworld. This three-headed beast is tasked with keeping souls from escaping and occasionally stopping misguided heroes from entering.
As the offspring of Echidna and Typhon, Cerberus was destined for terrible things and is often referred to as a hellhound. With sharp fangs and an incredibly aggressive nature, he has only been bested by a mortal once, by none other than Heracles, who captured him in his final trial by wrestling him into submission. While most sources state that Cerberus has three heads, one claimed he had fifty. This obviously inebriated fantasist can be ignored, as we can confirm this mythic good-boy has just the three.
In spite of his terrifying appearance, we have heard that he is partial to squeaky toys and some ear scritches so be ready for a game of fetch if you decide to rehome this big dog.
