The Satyr is a known pest to women. With the legs and tail of a goat and the body of a man, these wild creatures are the personification of greed and excess. Some early depictions of them in Greek art show them as having human legs and the tail and ears of a horse, but they are more commonly recognised as having goat legs.
These unpleasant little men are always seeking some kind of sexual gratification and are known to chase nymphs and human women through the forest if they discover them. Thankfully, the Satyrs are barely ever successful in their pursuit of these women.
The Satyr is a known companion of the god of wine, Dionysus, and those who surround the god are generally drunk at all times. They love music and revelry so if you ever decided you wanted to waste your time around a Satyr, an easy way to win them over would be with music and wine. We’ve heard it doesn’t even have to be particularly good wine, either.
