The Mongolian Death Worm, or 'Allghoi Khorkhoi', meaning 'intestine worm' due to its blood-red color and relatively diminutive size resembling a cow's intestine, inhabits the vast Gobi Desert. It can reach up to several meters in length and is capable of spitting corrosive venom that is lethal on contact. Additionally, it has been known to generate an electric charge to incapacitate its prey.
Mongolian nomads respect and fear this beast, avoiding its wrath by steering clear of areas believed to be its territory. Field biologists have scoured the Gobi in hopes of uncovering this elusive creature, but often return with more questions than answers.
Notoriously uncooperative and tricky to subdue, the Death Worm can be lured by making vibrations on the desert's surface. However, caution is advised, as its venom is fatally potent.
