Haunting the swamps of Louisiana is America’s answer to the will o’ the wisp, the Feu-Follet. Sometimes spelled Fifollet, this ghostly light is somewhat of a menace. Thought to be a soul sent back to our realm for penance, they are mostly out for mischief and vengeance.

The Feu-Follet has been known to get people lost in the swamps, drink the blood of children, and generally frighten passersby. As they are simply ethereal balls of light and incapable of direct communication, we do not recommend attempts to urge them to commit their penance and move on. They are not interested and would sooner drown you in the bayou. As their drink of choice is the blood of children, we certainly do not recommend any junior monster hunters seek them out. The risk is much too great.
