The Buggane is a shapeshifting entity native to the Isle of Man, primarily manifesting as a gigantic ogre-like beast covered in black hair, with gleaming red eyes. Although capable of adopting various forms, this ogre-like appearance is its most frequent guise used to terrorize locals by tearing off roofs or breathing fire.

It is important to note that the Buggane harbors particular vengeance towards those who trespass on its sacred sites, such as St Trinian's Church, where it famously ripped the roof off repeatedly, thereby preventing its completion.

Encountering a Buggane almost certainly invites despair; they are tied to specific locations, and their wrath is directed specifically at those who dare disturb their haunts. Observation from a distance is possible, but interfering with its domain is strongly discouraged.
