An incredibly unique ghost, the Glaistig looks nothing like what you’d expect of a spirit. Instead of the stereotypical white figure, she appears full of life. Often seen in a bright green dress and singing and dancing to lure humans, she is the opposite of many of the ghosts we’ve recorded. However, the most obvious thing that sets her apart from other spirits is that, poking out from under her green dress, you won’t catch a flash of a boot or ankle, but the hooves of a goat. Half woman, half goat, the Glaistig is hiding much more than you think.
Stories about the Glaistig’s intentions vary. Some claim that she will tempt humans through dance to get them to her lair where she would then drink their blood. However, some other reports describe her as a benign spirit who looks after livestock in exchange for fresh milk. She is also fiercely protective of the local deer population. Whichever interpretation of her you believe in, we recommend a flask of blood and a flask of milk, and you’re sure to gain her favor.
