Also known as “The Whistler”, El Silbón is a frightening figure hailing from South America. The story goes that in the mid 19th Century, the spoiled El Silbón killed his father after he failed to capture any deer for dinner. He then gave his mother some of his father’s meat to cook and when he was caught out, he was strapped to a post and whipped as punishment. His father’s remains were then put into a sack and strapped to his back and El Silbón was forced to carry his father’s body for the rest of time.
