‍URGENT REPORT

Strange activity recorded from within the Rift. Seismic measurements from the Rift site are off the charts and all of our equipment has begun to malfunction. Rift Guardians monitoring the site have been unable to carry out any further tests or gather data due to the erratic behaviour at present. Even personal watches, phones and other devices have started to seize up.

Skies above the Rift have been turning strange colors. We are seeing glimmers of green and red, unlike any other Rift events we have seen before now. Crimson and emerald lights swirl beyond the veil and occasional noises have been reported. Amongst the static of failed recordings, we think that we have heard words whispered and chanted. Perhaps some kind of ritual?

This morning, one of the Rift Guardians reported seeing scratch marks around the stone plinth that holds the Rift in place. Huge, vicious claw marks. As if something new - or incredibly old - is trying to get out.
