TIPS
-------
Alliances:
Rivin are back and following the recent changes to Leshy and Shango, we’re hoping to see exciting opportunities for creative deck-building and more balanced battles. West African cards aim for big late-game plays while Slavic is also one where you can creep up on your opponent so make sure you’re planning for the future with these cards. As always, we’ll heap some praise on Bauk, which is a wonderfully handy Rare to add to your Rivin decks. We adore that shadowy nightmare.
With Grimbald, we’ve seen a lot of adoration for Greeks of late. These decks are best built around either Hades or Hecate (or both, if you’re nasty) so might require some strategising. We love Medusa as a handy card that fits into any deck though so you can always slip her into a Rivin deck if you’re wanting the best of both worlds. For new players, Cryptozoology is an incredibly fun starter deck and we are so fond of many of the monsters in there. And that +20 Alliance boost is going to help them for sure this week.
Mana Management:
Those early turns are going to be trying your patience but it’ll be worth it if you can manage your cards in turns 1 to 3. This may cause trouble for costly cards, especially those Greeks (yes that is Cerberus growling in the background), so be sure to take this tough start into account when deck building.
Best of luck and see you on the battlefield!
