Alliances:

When it comes to Synnig, we’ve championed Celts as a brilliant new player deck and even the more seasoned players amongst our team still love to play them too, especially if you manage to drop a cheeky Spring Heeled Jack in there.

Nordic decks pack a powerful punch but you’re going to have to be very careful when it comes to Mana this week so be wary! A Valkyries-based deck makes for an excellent time though so we recommend giving that a shot on the battlefield.

With Urban Legends, there are plenty of cards in there that you can easily slip into both a mono-Synnig OR a Truce deck, leaving your options open. Fiji Mermaid is incredibly popular amongst our players and this week is the perfect time to slot that little weirdo into a deck.

Old favorites Slavic and West African are going to be obvious choices for those loyal to Rivin this week. We always recommend dropping Bauk into any Rivin deck and we know that Leshy and Shango are clear player favorites too. However, this is also a great chance to put Germanic to the test.

We’ve been seeing Lorelei and Tatzelwurm pop up in decks and what better time of year to give Krampus a crack at the whip (or swish of the switch?). Some Germanic Rares are also going to be great to slip into decks with Feuermann and Klagmuhme being incredibly useful.

Mana Management:

While the Synnig boost might seem like this week is a given for Fenrir, that 20 Mana per turn and 20 Mana cap will put a stop to that pesky wolf. It’s a level playing field when it comes to Mana so he isn’t going to be much help. Nordic players can make full use of Jörmungandr though so make sure to pop him in your decks!

For Rivin, Black Forest might make those first couple of turns feel rough if you come up against it so take care out there!

Best of luck and see you on the battlefield!
