TIPS

Alliances:

For this week, the Hordes that will reap the benefits of the Alliance bonuses are Celts and Nordic for Synnig and Slavic and West African for Rivin. We’ve seen a lot of love for Fenrir (Nordic) and Shango (West African) over on our Discord so those are the two to watch out for this week!

Whether you choose to go for a mono-Alliance deck and build around one Alliance (or even one Horde if you’re bold), or a Truce deck and mix up multiple Alliances, you will need to experiment! Be prepared to build a deck, tweak it, or even throw it in a ditch and start again if your first couple of games don’t go your way. Perseverance is the key, if you’re new to Eerie but once you find a deck that works this week, you’re going to feel like a true Champion.

How about a couple of cards we love in these Alliances that are worth looking out for? For Synnig, we love Sleipnir (Nordic). The best of all horses (according to Odin) gives the cards on either side +25 Attack that turn so he’s best played in the center slot. HOWEVER, be careful of your mana as he’s an expensive lad (more on that later).

With Rivin, Bauk (Slavic) is a sneaky little Rare to pop in your deck as that +30 Attack Per Turn in your next turn can be a life saver. And for even more Attack Per Turn, Ogun (West African) is also a great card to keep cycling.

Mana Management:

Thankfully, this week with 18 Mana Per Turn and a healthy cap of 40, you don’t have as much to worry about as in previous Leagues. However, you still want to keep an eye on how you’re spending your Mana and plan accordingly!

Jörmungandr is a favorite amongst the Eerie crew and he’ll give your Nordic cards -1 Mana cost each time you draw him. So keep cycling for the best benefit! Also on the Synnig side, Celts cards are low Mana and build Attack up nicely (if you stock up on Commons) so are becoming a staple amongst our community of players.

With Rivin, several West African cards will keep your Mana coming back to you, including Mami Wata and Oshosi. Expect both of these Orishas to keep you smiling and keep your Mana pool looking rejuvenated!

Of course, you can ignore all of this and try playing decks outside of the League bonuses. The world is your oyster. Be sure to share your creative decks with us on Discord, Instagram, Tiktok and X and we might even share some of our favorites!

Best of luck and see you on the battlefield!
