Greetings Champions,
While we are in our infancy, we’ll inevitably have to make changes and adjustments to certain cards. This is because some have grown too powerful and are getting rude around the other creatures, while some have yet to see their true potential manifest. As we endeavor to make a game that’s fun, fair and challenging, we hope these changes are seen as a help rather than a hindrance.
With that in mind, we’ll be tuning the abilities of two cards - Leshy and Shango - and buffing the ability of a third - Shinigami. This comes from player feedback and our own internal playtesting, here at Eerie base camp. We felt that Rivin could be seen as an intimidating force (perhaps a little too intimidating), while Shinigami needed a bit of light encouragement to get his act in gear. Fear not though, Rivin is still a beast of a Horde and still packs a mighty punch.
These changes will take place in time for the League change on Monday.
Nerfs:
Leshy (Slavic)
Was: When drawn, for every time you have played Leshy this game, your Slavic cards in hand gain +22 Attack permanently.
Now: When drawn, for every time you have played Leshy this game, your Slavic cards in hand gain +16 Attack permanently.
Shango (West African)
Was: When played, for every Rivin card you have played this game, your West African cards in hand gain +4 Attack until played
Now: When played, for every Rivin card you have played this game, your West African cards in hand gain +3 Attack until played
Buff:
Shinigami (Yokai)
Was: When drawn, if you are losing the round, your Epic and Fabled Yokai cards, wherever they are, gain +40 Attack until played.
Now: When drawn, your Epic and Fabled Yokai cards, wherever they are, gain +40 Attack until played.
As always, we’d like to thank our players for the feedback that we’ve been seeing over on Discord. It’s been invaluable and we love to see how you’re getting on in your fight for control of the Rift. If you’d like to let us know what you think, you can find an invite to join Discord via the in-game banner.
Now, if you don’t mind, we have to start pruning back some of that overgrowth from Leshy’s reign of terror.
See you on the battlefield!
