After days of strange Rift occurrences, we're finally able to make out one of the new Hordes, desperate to escape. There's a cry of fearsome critters and a hunger for revenge. In this developer blog, we’ll be catching up with AvidGrant and getting a glimpse of the playstyles you can expect when exploring our latest horde...North American!
AvidGrant (LiveOps)
Slowly building up a reputation as the Avid member who leaks the most top secret Eerie Worlds information, AvidGrant is our LiveOps lead and the playstyle of the following horde is something they are very excited for you to get your hands on.
‘North American brings a new set of abilities to the table based on various losing conditions, reflecting the revenge vibe of the horde. This horde should help players make a late-game comeback if they find themselves in a hole early on, but that's not all this horde carries with them through the rift.’
‘Some North American cards (Mercy Brown, Van Meter Visitor, and Wechuge) provide buffs to other Grimbald cards, while others (Nain Rouge, Deer Woman, and Ogopogo) have stand-alone abilities that make them easy to slot into a wide variety of decks.’
‘I can't wait to see the creative decks players make out of what might be the most flexible Grimbald horde yet! That being said, the Fabled cards make a pure North American deck enticing and I, for one, plan on making one as an excuse to use the card that has my favorite art of the bunch: The Salem Witches.’
