Card Spotlight: The Rougarou

Greetings, Champions,

Today, we’re diving deep into a Grimbald Epic from the Wild Beasts horde. This powerful card is a fantastic pick for almost any deck and, when played strategically, can turn the tide of battle in your favor.

Descended from France’s loup-garou, the Rougarou is Louisiana’s answer to the werewolf. Prowling the swamps and bayous of Cajun and Creole communities, it is a fearsome creature that’s part man, part wolf.

Playing Rougarou is straightforward, with one key rule: play it in the left or middle slot as often as possible. Much like Shango, Rougarou builds power the more it’s played. Positioning it in these slots ensures you cycle it back to your hand as quickly as possible, maximizing its impact.

Even without additional buffs, Rougarou can reach at least 285 attack in the later turns of the game - and that’s just on its own. So, if you haven’t secured a copy yet, now’s the time to track it down and add it to your deck.

Best of luck recruiting your werewolf - see you on the battlefield!
